At just 24 Nick became workshop foreman which continued for three years until he went self employed in 1994 then establishing a workshop in 1999 in Chester where the business is still based today.
Nick and his team have completed many hundreds of furniture and joinery items across Cheshire, Wales and also London. All joinery and furniture is hand made and fitted by Nick and his small team. Nothing is subcontracted out. Hand drawn scale plans are provided where needed.
We live in an age of fast moving technology and constant change, but there is nothing quite so timeless as a hand-made piece of furniture made with love and care by an expert craftsmen.
At Nick Smith Joinery we embrace traditional skills using the the finest English Oak, European and North American hardwoods from sustainable sources.
